| Comments: |
Lots of blue ice down low. Soon turned to firm spring snow. The trail was easy to follow up to Big Attitash. I descended back towards the moat attitash col where I had a great view of North Moat. Bushwhacked a fairly straight line through some pretty thick stuff until I came to the open summit of moat. Some tricky icy spots headed towards the red ridge trail, but nothing too bad. Snow shoes were best choice from the attitash tr. to red ridge. Along the ridge, lots of bare rock made bare boots sensible. Nice side trip to white horse ledge on the way down. |
