| Comments: |
Bare trail and mud to start but quickly turned to melting snow and ice. From right-hand turn into birch glades had better snow cover and no more ice. Pretty hard-packed snow for the remainder of the trail - light traction or snowshoes would be fine on upper part of the trail. Snow through the glades was getting soft in afternoon sun, snowshoes were best through that stretch.
Thanks Cynthia for great company today. |
