The property owner next to the trail head does not control her dogs well and around 5 of them ran out at me barking loudly to "congratulate" me on finishing my hike. I ducked in my car very quickly! |

Springtime in New Hampshire brings fun and interesting terrain!
Lower end of the trail was mostly mud with sections of avoidable ice/monorail left. Put on microspikes at around 2000 feet from then on it was packed snow and ice to the summit, but easy to posthole outside the track. On a warmer day in the immediate future it could get messy near the top. |
