On my list for several years and today was the day! Apparently everyone was out today for good reason! Perfect temps and amazing views. Did the traditional loop up Welch and over and down Dickey. Some spots of mud down low heading up to welch. Ledges were all dry heading up. A few patches of snow at top of Dickey and heading down though not really a nuisance. Some water on some ledges heading down Dickey but not at all slippery. Too many folks and dogs to count today all enjoying the sunny skies and warm weather. Add this one to the snow free trails. Took Sandwich Notch road out - rough as always but high clearance vehicles will not have a problem BUT! Going out other side near Mead Camp the cement barriers were up still there just opened up a bit - just enough room for my outback to squeeze through - anything wider might not fit AND BTW they did have a sign that said road was closed. I guess it's not officially opened. |
