Trail Maintenance Notes: Some large branches are down on the Cold Spring and Faraway Mountain trails, easy to get over - a hand saw would suffice to clear
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Didn't see any all day but trails would all be easy - not sure if LRCT doesn't allow dogs on their lands
Bugs

Comments
Comments: A great day for a hike in the lakes region. Sunny and warm. Did the loop up faraway mountain over to Roberts and down Mount Robert trail 9 miles with side trip t faraway summit - easy hiking all the way around - trails up faraway and over to Roberts have easy grades on old carriage roads. Trails were dry with occasional patches of mud that are easily avoided. Only one patch of snow on High Ridge trail that won't last long. Trails don't actually go to summit of Faraway mountain. To get to summit turn right on a small access trail/road about 1/4 mile above viewpoint on Faraway - it has a chain across about 10 yards in - an easy walk of less than 1/2 mile to summit - no views just an antenna. Great views from the faraway mtn viewpoint, from summit of Roberts and from ledges on Mount Roberts trail. There was a raucous and loud group of frogs in a pond along side high ridge trail.
