| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Old Troy road is a dirt road in good shape and was easily accessible in a car. Only a few cars parked in the lot. Suggested donations were $5/adult... but purely optional |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Only a couple, biggest one has nice bridge |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Dublin trailblazes were super easy to follow, blazes painted on rocks looked very fresh and again were easy to follow/find. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
None allowed in park. |
|
| Bugs: |
During the wet parts the gnats were pretty bad. Not bad at summit. Some decided to start biting on the way down and made us go down faster. But overall not bad enough for bug spray. Dreaded black flies weren't really out yet. |

Great hike, made it up in 110 minutes and down in about 85(partly due to the bugs chasing us down!). Some rocky parts were still wet and there were a few muddy spots but nothing bad. A couple rocks we were scrambling up on hands/feet thankfully they were dry. Great views from the top and the last 20 minutes or so above treeline. Not a busy day at the top only 10 people, about as many as we saw all day on the trail.
This is a great hike and this trail is supposed to be easier than the white dot/cross trails, less people, and free parking. Shhh! |
