| Comments: |
The Presidentials and Crawford North looked spectacular from Mt Avalon. Lots of snow at higher elevations, especially on Mt Field. Almost the entire 1-mile section between Mt Avalon and Mt Field has 2 to 3 feet of snow. We didn't have any traction, but I recommend it. There is a huge blowdown area between Mt Field and Mt Willey, most of which has been cleared except for a few remaining trees. I assume that the ones that have been cleared came down in one of the hurricanes and ones remaining came down over the winter. |
