||North Percy Peak, NH|
||Percy Loop Trail, Percy Peaks Trail|
|Date of Hike:
||Saturday, June 1, 2013|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Parked near the new bridge adjacent to the trailhead on Nash Stream Road. |
||Dry Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|Water Crossing Notes:
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||We took out over a dozen blowdowns on the trail. A few stepovers remain. The waterbars are in need of mucking. |
||Deer fly and mosquitoes down low, then black flies. Summit was fortunately free of flies thanks to the wind. |
|Lost and Found:
||Percy Loop Trail has smooth footing for the first half, so a nice walk. Some minor mud. Ledges up high got a little wet from a passing shower, however the dried out quickly. Hazy views, but still nice (except with the wind farm popping out of otherwise nice backcountry views). Winds made the summit quite nice to hang around on.|
Lots of wild low bush blueberries in bloom - could be a nice crop next month!
