Comments
Comments: I didn't feel like a road walk, so I did these in the order Field-Willey-Field-Tom, just to be radical. Day was cloudless to begin and the views from Avalon were spectacular. It was very hot and humid. Around 11am I heard a rumble of thunder way to the north and noticed towering q's forming to the west. I picked up the pace, but nothing came close in the end, aside from a minor shower well down the A-Z. I drank 100 fl oz by the time I reached the first stream coming down A-Z, so I filtered another 100 fl oz and drank most of it on the way out. Got rid of the headache and that cold water is heaven sent on a day like that.

A heck of a lot of work has been done clearing the Willey Range Trail. I really appreciate the work the crews do to keep these mountains open for the public to enjoy.

The drive home was made interesting when I was caught in a microburst along the bench-cut section of I-93 just south of Franconia Notch. I captured a bit of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5E1BQM7BFM.
