Lots of blowdowns and both trails need serious brushing. Webster Slide Trail feels a bit like bushwhacking. |

Not too bad today...though I did stick my face into a record number of spiderwebs. |

Wachipauka Pond Trail (northern section), Webster Slide Mtn. Trail
View at the top of Webster Slide Mtn (overlooking Wachipauka Pond) is gorgeous. Be sure to (carefully!) follow the herd path past the informal campsites to the top of the slide/cliff. Go slowly and keep strict control over your dog at that viewpoint...loose dirt and rock might cause the careless to take the super-fast way down to the pond...it's not a place to lose one's footing. |
