Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Wet Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Plenty of them and no bridges but with some care, plenty of options
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Several large blowdowns up near pond. One large new one dropped down roughly aligned with trail, herd paths forming around it.It would take pretty major effort to clear as all the branches are laying perpendicular to the trail for its entire length. I sawed several smaller blowdowns along route and trimmed a few large ones to improve access under them. The turn off the old route down near 302 needs brushing in. The signage is there but its easy to keep going straight when heading out.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Black flies at dam on pond were pretty fierce, not an issue when moving but lunch break was buggy and they were biting

Comments
Comments: I have only been down the "bushwhack" route from Nancy in winter, its in remarkably good condition and its nice of the FS to post the unmaintained path sign.
