 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I was disappointed to discover that Jericho Road is barred by a locked gate nearly two miles before its end, even though the blocked section is in fine shape - freshly graded without so much as a pothole. There is a clearing with plenty of parking at that gate. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The only crossing of Rocky Branch, at the start of the RB Trail, is bridged. The first of two significant side-streams was an easy rock-hop; the second a log-walk. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails all in decent shape. A few blowdowns on Rocky Branch Trail, but all step-overs, except one stoop-under. |

 | Bugs: |
Very heavy throughout the Rocky Branch Trail - a nuisance. Hardly any on the other trails. |

Jericho Road and sidepath; Rocky Branch Trail; Stairs Col Trail; Davis Path; Stairs summit spur.
A long way to reach the Stairs Mtn. summit, but the Stairs Col Trail has a certain remote allure, to go along with slippery rocks throughout its steep western end. |
