| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Driving in the 3 miles on the branch road off Magalloway Road is the hardest part of the hike, but my Corolla made it carefully. The worst rocks are painted red and can be avoided. Parking at the end with room for 4-5 cars. |

Coot trail is a jeep road, rocky and steep. Bobcat is more of a hiking trail, much nicer, no blowdowns anywhere. |

| Comments: |
Local fire patrol guy named Wayne was up there cutting grass around the cabin (which can be rented through Columbus Day), and he led me up to the fire tower and pointed out all the landmarks. Otherwise the tower is unmanned and is locked. |
