Comments
Comments: lower trail was damp and many of the early ledges were wet and slippery. by afternoon some of the more exposed sections had dried out. ledges higher on the ridge were generally dry. some mud in the sag between the highpoint on lambert ridge and the summit of smarts then wet trail and ledges up to the summit area.

a real nice piece of trail over lambert ridge. some good viewpoints along the way though quite hazy today. the same from the summit tower. very hot and humid though the breeze up high really made the going tolerable. great hike.
