| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The dirt road to the trailhead is a little rougher than I remember it a few weeks ago. Seems like maybe a culvert may have collapsed (hard to tell, as there was a deep narrow puddle with logs laid across it). I made it to the trailhead carefully with my truck, however vehicles with average clearance probably won't want to attempt this section at the moment. |

| Comments: |
Black Mountain in Benton near Mt. Moosilauke.
Trail was generally dry and in good shape. Wish more mountain trails in the Whites had footing like this. Excellent views as usual from the summit ledges. Not much to speak of in terms of foliage yet, but saw some colored leaves on the drive in.
Flagging for upcoming logging project is still up, but no signs of any logging yet. |
