All were low today, no issues - the one near the Sandwich Mountain trailhead and the one near the junction of Drakes Brook trail and the Fletcher Cascades trail could both be tricky in high water though |

Overall trails are in good shape - a few step-overs and duck-unders between the peaks but easy to get by |

Hannah had a great day - comfortable temps and no issues with the scrambles up to the ridge. Not much water on the Sandwich Mountain trail, even with the cooler temps I'm glad I carried some extra for her. |

Great loop hike in some new territory - views ascending Sandwich Mountain trail were impressive and only got better higher up. Drakes Brook trail was a joy to descend, wonderful footing and not many rocks. Gorgeous foliage down low with lots of bright yellows and reds especially along the brook. Fantastic day for a non-4k hike with my hiking beast! |
