Lambert Ridge Trail was awesome. Clear and dry until about a mile below the summit, then some minor snow patches to work around until the Ranger Trail Jnct. From the jnct. up to the summit is all snow. Held up pretty well even in the hot sun, only post-holeing a handful of times. Another week or so and it should be snow free. Descended the Ranger Trail. Not fun. Fast running water the whole way down to the garage. It was like a two mile long brook crossing, trying to rock hop the whole way. Below the garage it just gets worse. Deep boot sucking mud all the way out. Sunk in up to my knee in one spot. I would stay off this trail for another month or so, or wear hip waders (not kidding). |
