drainages were generally in good shape. probably nothing more than normal seasonal cleaning needed. no blowdown of note on the whole route. |

other than one muddy spot right at the bottom of the piper trail the going was dry the whole way. trails were in excellent shape.
having only summitted chocorua once back in winter of 2005 when it was so windy i could barely stand at the summit much less take it all in i figured it was time for a visit where i could stop and enjoy the scenery. nice color in the valleys and stunning views to the rest of the whites. great hike.
