Comments
Comments: Did this from the east side (Ellsworth -- Three Ponds trailhead off Stinson Lake Road).

Leaves are covering everything -- watch your step, it's easy to slip on a hidden rock.

Blazes are yellow on the way up, but sometimes blue and sometimes yellow on the way down.

You can still get a great view if you climb up the cement steps on the summit. I can see why this used to be on the 52WAV list.

Had the mountain all to myself until the last half mile on the way back to the car. Great day in the woods with Max. He loved running back and forth on the retractable leash, plowing through all the leaves and tromping in the mud.

Saw plenty of fresh moose scat and one pile of fresh bear scat.
