Parking/Access Road Notes: Last stretch of road to parking lot has some big rocks sticking up - not recommended for cars.

Trail Maintenance Notes: Well maintained trail with fall drainage work recently done. No blowdowns. Some deadfall from recent wind event, but I was able to remove it as I went.

Comments: Black Mountain in Benton near Mt. Moosilauke.
Trail was mostly dry and in good shape. Ground frozen about 2,000 feet. Some patches of blue and black ice up high, but fairly easily avoided - no traction needed yet.
