All water except the first crossing after i-93 is an easy step-over. Bridge at the first crossing has collapsed and been replaced by what is presumably a temporary structure just upstream. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
1 large blowdown about 40 minutes in from the trailhead -- significant herd path has formed around it. 2nd blowdown higher up is an easy step-over. |

| Comments: |
Mixed snow and ice the whole way. Some clear patches, but never enough to really be tempted to take off the spikes. Approaching the view ledges, pretty much continuous ice, but the ledges/summit are largely clear, except for 1 large, thick, slick, wide patch of flow ice betwwen the south-facing ledge and the summit. Spikes absolutely required, unless you want to risk butt-sledding with a very bad landing. |
