the spencer smith trail is located off the west side of 126 about 2.5 miles north of the junction of 126 and 202a in strafford. parking had been plowed after recent snow. |

removed one duck under blowdown just short of the summit.

the trail is in nice shape with up to a couple inches of snow coverage with a crust on top. i noted very little ice under the snow other than for a couple patches on the steep section of the trail. i wore microspikes the whole hike which gave great traction. could certainly do fine without them too given current conditions.
having not been up parker in a while and with a small window to hike today it seemed a good call. the walking was great on the grippy snow and there were some nice clear views from various points along the trail. nice to be out.
