| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Kilkenny Ridge Trail, between Waumbek and north to South Weeks, gets little traffic; numerous blowdowns... and while the woods are open and they were super easy to walk around, blazing was light and care should be taken with navigation |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Except for along the high elevation of the ridge, snow was minimal and largely consolidated; Skipper had an easy time of it. |

| Comments: |
We set out for Waumbek, and redlining today was not on my agenda. But we got talking, and the next thing I knew, we were setting out to grab that pesky 2.5 miles I needed. We missed the sharp left turn in the trail coming off the Waumbek Ridge as it descends towards the col; it took us 10 minutes to find the trail again. It's clear on the map... but with the snow, blow downs and light blazes, we initially missed it. |
