We had planned on doing the loop ascending Sandwich Mountain Trail and descending Drakes Brook Trail....but we really didn't like the looks of the first water crossing on the Sandwich Mountain Trail. Another party seems to have ascended that trail today, so maybe we over-reacted. |

There are a fair number of blown-over/broken trees, but nothing that really held us up. |

I believe the whole loop is packed down now. We wore microspikes for a ways but then switched to snowshoes because of ample loose granular powder.
It was a beautiful day! We didn't see to many people out, but it was beautiful. Probably -5 or -10F at the summit. The few clouds that we saw zoomed over the summit. |
