| Water Crossing Notes: |
1st crossing temporary bridge still there. Brooks where Trailwrights built stone cross-drains open enough to see where the drains are and jump across. Two-stringer bridge still there and solid, but narrow for winter with snow on it. One person fell off it. Three stringers wide would be safer when the bridge is iced or snowed. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
One 8" beech across trail about 2/3 up. |

| Comments: |
Trail is moderate with many short steep pitches. Snow covers most of the steps and waterbars Trailwrights has built these last 3 or 4 years. Footing was good with light traction.
Temporary bridge at first brook could be re-used as the deck on new bridge I imagine will be built in Spring. Just add more joists long enough to be outriggers to braces for uprights for handrails. Nail 2x8s on outside of the 4x4 deck beams to serve as curbs in case a hiker slips. |
