The trail is very hard packed for the first 1.5 miles. Microspikes were fine. Once you get into the spruce the track is not as consolidated so I switched to snowshoes. Snowshoes were very helpful on the ridge over to the summit. The sun was out both times we were at the chimney. Looks like folks have been having a blast on the lower section of trail sled marks, ski tracks.. |
