Comments
Comments: sandwich mt trail well packed, but the warm temps today made the snow soft. i wore snowshoes all day and was very glad i had them on. trail was not icy. drake brook trail to smarts mt trail, sandwich mt trail was not nearly as well packed. several other hikers without snowshoes were sinking quite a bit. form smarts mt trail to summit was well packed again, but still quite soft. no tracks up either algonquin or bennett st trails. drakes brook trail was very soft. i often sank 4-6" or more with my snowshoes on. fletchers cascade trail had seen more traffice and was well packed, but soft. great hike! really nice views, lovely woods. it was a lot more enjoyable with snowshoes on.
