Comments
Comments: Winslow Tr had plnty of snowshoe traffic. Generally wide and hard so no postholing. Barlow Tr has seen much less traffic, including 2 people who punished themselves postholing most of the way. We had to travel slow and pick out every step we took. Snow conds. soft; if you step to the edge of the beaten track you will go down a foot and a half at least.

State has removed old fire warden's cabin that sat right below the big tower full of antennas and dishes. Easy to see why: chunks of ice bigger than pie plates fell 40' or more before crashing onto the roof of the buildings around the tower.
So, there is no longer the roof and windbreak we used to count on at this summit. Be advised.
