Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The minor roads leading to the trailhead are not all marked - I navigated the roads using the same White Mountain Guide map I use for hiking trails. Room for two cars off side of road in front of gate - don't block that gate when parking since loggers use it on a regular basis (saw one truck today). Trailhead sign, along with multiple signs regarding the logging activity, is right next to the gate, on the right (when facing the trail from the road).

Comments: Blueberry Mountail Trail (west side)

The first part of the trail is on logging roads. Follow the bright yellow blazes. Those blazes tend to disappear for long stretches, but keep going and, at the next intersection, they'll reappear.

Soon after you leave the logging roads and enter the woods on a quasi-footpath, there is an intersection that is not marked. Stay straight, on the path that looks more like a trail and less like an ATV road. You'll see a yellow blaze after about a hundred feet or so.

There are multiple opportunities for views on the way up through the trees, across the logging areas. The path goes between and around major areas of logging activity, most of the way up the mountain, so have a care. Once on the ledge sections, views abound starting a tenth of a mile or so from the summit...except for today, since we hiked in the rain and fog.

Today's hike was more like a wade than a proper hike, but that wasn't surprising given all the recent rain. On a dry day with clear skies, the hiker should be treated to a lovely path with multiple opportunities for views.
