as earlier note stated, the trail through the hardwoods is totally clear of ice. Once you enter the evergreens, lots of monorail and hard ice. I put on microspikes 0.25 below Starr King summit - a real help. Trail between Starr King and Waumbek all snow and monorail - and a few opportunities for post-holing. Great views today |
