Comments
Comments: All surfaces were wet today from the recent rains. The rocks and roots were slippery and required some attention to prevent falls. Forest ranger replaced door knob at Fire Tower.
It was a tale of two trails today. There was nobody on the Weeks Brook trail today other than myself. While descending the Kearsarge North trail I saw and talked with many other hikers including groups, families, and individuals. I decided to hike down the Weeks Brook trail to extend the hike and to enjoy some solitude. I decided to turn around when the brook crossing would involve hopping to the wet slanted ledge which may have had a slippery organic surface.
The views from the tower varied over time based on the position of the clouds. The view to Carter Notch is especially good from this vantage point.
