Water Crossing Notes: Bridge and minor hops.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Davis to Crawford and Stairs was decent and largely dry (mud free calves). Mt Parker trail not well marked at the top of Resolution (stay west) and somewhat over-grown heading to Mt Parker. I was happy that I converted my shorts to long pants. Mt Stanton trail slightly hard to follow from Mt Langdon shelter.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Not bad during the day. They disappeared on Stairs as it cooled around 6PM. My buddy got his head net out in the morning and I am currently wearing a bunch of no-see-um bites.

Comments
Comments: Mt Stairs is my new favorite camp site. 4 hour/4 mile hike in on Davis path. The detour up Crawford was worthwhile.

Setup my hammock 25' from the edge of the Drop-off (cliff) on Stairs. Great 180 view. A small bit of light pollution from the N Conway to the east. But none for the remaining 120 degrees of your view.

Water is tricky. We carried 3 liters each. Added 2 liters from Sleeper Brook behind the former Resolution shelter that was removed. Follow the trail west to the left of the sign that indiates that the Resolution shelter is no longer there. Also added 2 liters at an excellent stream 60 yards east of the Langdon shelter, but still was running on empty by the end of the day.

Going out Stanton trail gave us a 10 mile tune up for the hiking season. We were tired at the end of Sunday.
