Comments
Comments: On our continuing quest to stand on every site where a fire tower stands, once stood or was proposed brought us to Sugarloaf Mountain in Groveton, NH. #62 of the 92 towers for us. The trailhead is 8.3 mile down a dirt forest road and as we neared the parking area, our low tire warning light came on. Yup, we had to change a tire before starting the hike. We followed the Sugarloaf Mountain Trail all the way to the summit. At 1.7 miles we found the remains of the Fire Warden's Cabin. The summit was another 0.4 miles. This mountain is also on the 52 with a View List.
