Date of Hike: Thursday, July 17, 2014
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: No issues with parking
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All water crossings were easy walk overs or rock hops
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The trails were in good condition, easily followed below tree line. However, some of the blazes near the summit were faded, or absent, making it easy to miss the trail. My husband and I missed a few blazes and we watched other hikers miss them as well.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: My dog did not join me on this hike; however, some of the ledges would be difficult for smaller dogs. If my dog came, I would have had to lift him up a few of the larger ledges near the summit.
Bugs
Bugs: None to speak of.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: None

Comments
Comments: A lot of the trail was muddy with running water and slippery rocks from the previous day’s rain. It didn’t impact us too much on the way up but on the way down it was a little tricky. Even with a good tread on my hiking boots, I found myself slipping.
