minor brook crossings on square ledge trail not a problem.

hiked out a dog toy and left it at the kiosk near the port o john. |

trails were mostly dry all the way except for a couple notable muddy spots on square ledge trail.
nice hike. not too hot and actually quite comfortable higher up. nice view from the ledge top to paugus, but for me what made the trip was the view from the small ledgy bump a bit farther along, and just off of, the trail (described in the wmg). great perspective on passaconaway, nanomocomuck and wonalancet hedgehog. though hazy there was also a good look over greens cliff to carrigain and the captain. this was my first time hiking to square ledge and it completed my 52 with a view list. not a list i set out to hike, but through other endeavours i had vistited enough peaks it was hard not to hike a few more and finish it off. great to be out.
