Comments
Comments: This hike brought us to Northwest Crystal in Dix’s Grant, NH, #82 on the list of 93 fire towers that are standing, once stood or were proposed. This is a nasty little peak to get. This was our second time trying to get it. The first time we got turned around by a wall of spruce and blowdowns. Let’s not forget the high grass and brush that got us soaked to the waist. Well that was last time, we still ran into all of that this time, but we used a different approach and made it! LOL
We walked up the logging road to a landing area, took a right into the woods hence the bushwhack began. We did find and sign the canister.
We did post a video on YouTube for anyone who is interested in seeing the hike, just follow the link.
