Comments
Comments: This hike brought us to Mount Chocorua and Middle Sister in Albany, NH, #86 and #87 on the list of 93 fire towers that are standing, once stood or were proposed. We took a Wednesday off at the end of September, to avoid the crowds. We also got to the trailhead at 8:30AM, so our plan worked, we met only two other guys at the summit of Chocorua and by the time we got to Middle Sister we had the whole summit to ourselves.
It was a great day for a hike. The falls were pretty much non-existent, but it gave us an opportunity to explore in that area. We do intend to head back when the falls are really flowing to experience them then too.
We did post a video of our day for anyone who might be interested in what this hike is like. Just click the link.
