the trail was in really nice shape with a fair bit of leaf cover up to the highpoint. some nice viewpoints along the way. descending i followed an obvious herd path to the top of the dartmouth skiway, great view along the way, and descended via the papoose trail which had great footing for hiking.
cool peak. nice grind of a hike up via the a.t. with very good views from various points along the "ledge" particularly over to winslows ledge, smarts mountain and more distant mt. cardigan. great to be out. |
