Hiking Trail Conditions Report
Peaks
Peaks South Moat Mountain, NH
Trails
Trails: Moat Mountain Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Monday, October 27, 2014
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Pay close attention to the route around the logging operations at the start of the trail. I didn't, and followed a skidder path by mistake. Look straight ahead when the temporary path meets the road with the logging equipment (about 5 minutes after you start). You will see the continuation of the trail.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: This trail is in serious need of blazing. Many blazes have faded almost into oblivion, and there are long stretches with no blazes at all. If you are not familiar with this trail, you will have to pay close attention, especially where the trail crosses ledges. The large amount of leaves on the ground compounds the problem as it obscures the footpath.
