Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Last fraction of a mile of road not recommended for low clearance vehicles due to rocks sticking up. Not a bad idea to bring a saw either, as there's a small leaner that could come down across the road whilst out hiking.

Comments
Comments: Black Mountain near Benton/Moosilauke.
Trail was generally dry with occasional ice up to perhaps 2,500 feet, then a dusting of snow with occasional ice. Ice patches were generally small and at no time did I need traction. Ground is frozen in the higher elevations, but it didn't feel like a deep freeze yet.
