Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Ice - Black, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular
Recommended Equipment

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: One river crossing at very beginning of trail. Water was very low but many of the rocks needed to cross had ice an they were rounded and irregular shapes and deep water around. Was OK today but seems like the kind of crossing that would be tough in normal or high water levels. Having trekking poles was helpful for balancing on the pointed rocks.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail in good shape. Despite much of it being in Wilderness Area it was well blazed with yellow rectangles that were older but still very visible in both directions. Two leaners and one stepover toward the summit that were no big deal.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: This trail is fine for dogs but has no water on it.
Bugs
Bugs: None.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: None.

Comments
Comments: Trail was in good shape. Varied from bare ground to traces of firm crunchy snow with almost no ice up to the first outlook. Snow was probably 1-2" deep beyond that, still with little ice, crunchy and grippable. Wore microspikes from the steep zig-zags climbing ridge to the same place on way back but it could be bare booted I'm sure with a little care. Only saw 1 other hiker who did the same. Had off and on "Hollywood snow" all day that didn't accumulate but was enough to spoil the views. 17 deg with 5-15 mph winds at summit.
