nice circuits in the wonalancet area. Cabin Trail had some deep leaves in spots, scattered icy spots had us put on traction headed across the sidehill to Lawrence Trail. some amazing drop offs there. Cut off had some icy spots and leaves. Climb to Square Ledge a sporty ascent but mostly good footing. I hung out and caught my breath a bit and stayed at viewpoint while ladies completed their red line thing down to Passaconway cutoff.. Descent a little tricky in spots and the climb to height of land heading out had some ice and sloppy snow. Once to the four corners Mast Trail was a breeze offering great footing with some leaves. As a round 2 we did brook trail east to west. What a great spot. Footing was excellent the whole way, some narrow and rooty trailed. Wonderful brook with sandy bottom, saw some fish, the old mill/ powerplant and dam quite interesting. THis will be a place to revisit on a hot summer day..some great swimming holes. Thanks Heather, Denise, and Kali for a great plan B |
