Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails within about a mile of the summit have significant ice damage from snapped-off and hanging (frozen in place with significant ice coating) trees. However, most of these trees are just a few inches in diameter, so hand saw would work fine. But, there are quite a few such trees, so some work will be required to clear them out.

Comments
Comments: As mentioned above, quite a bit of ice damage over the past couple of weeks to small trees near the summit makes for a number of duck-unders, crawl-unders, walk-around blowdowns and hanging trees/branches.

Regardless of all of the workarounds, trail is not difficult to follow and just takes a few more minutes than usual to negotiate the ice damage/detritus.
