Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty of parking at the main park entrance. The booth was staffed, which I have never seen in winter. There's a $5 fee.

Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: A few water crossings where there are usually none, due to water running down the ledges, on Smith Connector and White Cross. Easily stepped over.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Minor blowdowns and broken branches along Cliff Walk, likely from the recent icing that occurred before the warmup.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Dogs would have been ok today, but we didn't see any.
Bugs
Bugs: Zippo.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: We found a pair of work gloves at the summit, and one Stabilicer on White Cross. We left the items at the park store.

Comments
Comments: Hiked this one with a friend who invited me along. There's hardly any snow left on the mountain, just a few patches of rotten stuff in the wooded areas. Not much ice either. There are some patches here and there, but the mountain is pretty much back to bare rock until the next storm. Snowshoes are definitely not needed right now. We carried spikes, but only put them on for a couple of short sections. We bare booted most of the way. Lots of people out on this warm day with temps around 40. Saw one guy wearing mountaineering crampons over bare rock. We suggested he might want to switch to spikes. He was trashing his crampons on the ledge and they were definitely not needed. Lower portions of White Cross had running water on the trail. Very unusual conditions for this particular mountain in late December!
