| Comments: |
The road walk was easy- it was well packed by snow machines. Once past the summer trailhead, the Winslow Trail, our ascent/descent route, was completely untouched. No need for snowshoes, though, since there was only a few inches of (relatively) fresh stuff. Some spots are hairy and would require full traction if going straight up them, but if you only have MICROspikes, stabilicers, or the like, they are easily bypassed. Very frigid on the open summit, but my new face mask combined with my goggles did the job!
Thanks to Ray F. for a fun hike! |
