| Comments: |
We started with a road walk on Haystack road, turning onto the forest road that connects to Gale river road. We took the normal herd path towards the Nubble. Road was snowmobile packed, herd path had shallow snow. We eventually lost the path and bushwhacked to the base of the nubble. We noted some new antlers at 'blair which campsite.'
We headed up near the eastern drainage. Woods started out okay but got pretty rough. Snow in trees was an issue, but never too bad. Surface conditions were great for snowshoes. Could use new register book.
We followed are tracks back and paid a nice trip to the Nubble. Good hike with Kyle. |
