Comments
Comments: I almost opted out of this due to the wind chills in the forecast, but made a last minute decision that morning. Nice pleasant temps at the start, in the 20s.

Davis Path is solid and well packed all the way up to where it breaks out onto the first open ledges. I wore spikes to this point. Out in the open, the trail was more drifty, so I switched to snowshoes. A couple I had been leapfrogging on the way up turned back, I assume due to the wind.

Winds were howling pretty good with snow squalls blowing through. I got blasted and also considered turning around, but got a lull and a brief bit of sun, so I went for it. The spur trail was also drifted over all the way to the summit. Unfortunately, by the time I reached it, Crawford's awesome views were pretty much obliterated by another heavy snow squall. :(

Back in the trees, I switched back to spikes and the wind picked up again. The descent was quick due to the excellent conditions on Davis Path.
