Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Sasha did well. It was a great day for rolling in the snow. Descending Welch was a bit nerve wracking. I made a trail through saplings which she ignored in favor of going closer to the cliff's edge.

Comments
Comments: Well packed trail from the lot up to Welch and also from the lot up to Dickey. Inbetween the trail was drifted over. Tracks from a hiker who posted a trip report the previous wednesday were not at all visible. We met some ladies who turned back before ascending Welch. As i said, descending Welch was a little tricky. I have been on this hike many times and knew my way over both summits but did get turned around a bit after descending Dickey. So i would only recommend this hike if you are confident you know the trail.
Oh, the open ledges were no problem at all for humans or canines. Snowshoes were best for the times when we stepped off trail, which were a few.
