Comments
Comments: Was looking for something relatively close and short (my knee has been bothering me) so this fit the bill. Trail was very packed down all the way to the summit of South Moat, but it appeared that no one had gone to Middle Moat in quite some time. I followed the ridge over to Middle, not sure if I was on the trail at times or not, but every so often I would find a cairn. I had to break trail the whole way, and there was some real deep stuff in the col between the two peaks. Middle was nice, even less wind than on South. Had to switch to spikes on the way back down because they were easier on my knee. Overall, an amazing day, probably the best weather I've had since October. Come on spring!
