Comments
Comments: I'm the other hiker Lefty E encountered on his descent, and I echo everything he said. From the Imp Face, I continued around the Loop. The trail had been used a while ago, but it was covered with about 6" of new powder. It is now broken out, and since the snow is so deep, the walking was up in the branches, most of which have now had the snow knocked off. With warm temperatures and higher-angle sun, though, the snow on the side side of the Loop was very sticky, and my snowshoes carried extra weight on every step all the way down. Oh, and bring sunscreen. I'm sunburned today.
